Roots to Regeneration

After decades of working in the food and farming industry in various roles—and successfully transitioning two farms to regenerative agriculture—my regenerative coach, Caroline Grindrod, and I set out to create something truly different. We wanted a program that not only reflected our own journeys into regeneration but also filled the gaps we saw in existing offerings.

Our goal was to go beyond simply teaching technical knowledge. We wanted to facilitate the mindset shift needed to become an exceptional regenerative farmer or leader. Rather than layering new practices onto outdated models designed for a fossil fuel-driven world, we sought to empower farmers and food industry professionals with a design-based approach to their operations.

We also recognized the need for a strong, supportive community—one that nurtures new ideas and ensures they continue to evolve long after the program ends. By fostering a regenerative culture within the food and farming industry, we aim to create lasting change at every level.

To achieve this, we brought together a ‘dream team’ of regenerative specialists and thought leaders, integrating a wide range of expertise to guide participants through their transition.

As part of this immersive experience, Roots to Regeneration participants will spend time at Planton Farm during one of our in-person events, where we dive deep into context and explore whole-system function. Those who want to gain additional hands-on experience can also work one-on-one with George on the farm, engaging directly with the practical side of regenerative agriculture.

We designed this program to be rooted in traditional wisdom, informed by the best thinking in the regenerative movement, backed by cutting-edge science, and adaptable to new insights from both participants and experts.

Above all, we wanted Roots to Regeneration to be an inspiring and enjoyable journey—one that brings together passionate changemakers who are eager to learn and take part in the transformation our industry urgently needs.
